Promo Codes are "secret" passwords that unlock automatically applied discounts or Membership Overrides during a pre-determined period of time. During the interval defined for a Promo Code, any customer that gives that Promo Code during a prompt on the POS Station or on your company's Internet Portal will be entitled to receive the discounts and overrides defined for that code. You can create a many promo codes as you wish, and you can "recycle" them by changing their codes and dates. However, only ONE Promo Code can be used during any single transaction.
Using the List Window displayed above, you may create a limitless number of Promo Codes, to suit your specific needs. Double Click on an existing Promo Code to edit it, or click on the ADD button to create a new one.
Here we are creating a new Promo Code with a value of A1A1A1. We are have this code active from January 5th to January 31st. We will allow this code to be used for either POS or Web Transactions.
On the DISCOUNTS tab we set those in effect for this Promo Code. Here we have added a 10% off all tickets and 20% off all retail items. Click the ADD A DISCOUNT TO THIS PROMO CODE to add discounts. To remove a discount, double click on it in the list. A Promo Code can have ANY NUMBER of discounts in effect.
On the OVER-RIDES tab we set discounts and over-rides in effect for this promo, copied from pre-existing membership types. This means that you can create a Promo Code that has the effect of temporarily activating privileges normally reserved for membership holders. This is done by selecting a MEMBERSHIP type that invokes the over-rides you desire. Here we have added an over-ride of the Attraction On-Sale date, allowing customers using this code to by specified attractions early. Click the ADD MEMBERSHIP PRIVILEGES TO THIS PROMO CODE to add them. To remove an over-ride, double click on it in the list. A Promo Code can have ANY NUMBER of over-rides in effect.
